Supermarkets start to use new payment method

The Syndicate of Supermarket Owners in Lebanon announced on Saturday that all its members have have begun using the new payment method, which is 50 percent cash and 50 percent with bank cards.

The union said in a statement that it was forced to use the new payment technique as a result of the Banque du Liban's strict requirements.

The union voiced hopes that the monetary situation in the country would be stabilized as soon as possible, allowing things to return to normal which is in the best interests of everyone, especially citizens.
