Joint parliamentary committees meet over Capital Control law-[VIDEO]

The joint parliamentary committees are holding a session today with the Capital Control law on the agenda.

The law is a basic requirement of the International Monetary Fund in order to sign a final agreement with the Lebanese authorities.

At the beginning of the committees’ session, MP Hassan Fadlallah said that “the cry of depositors is righteous, because they have no confidence in the government’s measures and the banks,” adding that he Capital Control law needs basic amendments, especially in terms of providing “a legal protection umbrella for depositors.”
