New stamp depicting late MP Ghassan Tueni issued

“Let my people live” is the slogan printed above the image of late MP Ghassan Tueni on the issues of a newly pressed Lebanese stamp.

In this context, a launching ceremony attended by Teuni’s family was inaugurated  on Friday whereby Minister of Telecommunications Nicholas Sehnaoui paid tribute to the renowned journalist.

“Lebanon misses the wisdom Tueni bestowed upon this country and his ability to bring opposing viewpoints closer together,” Sehnaoui said.

The stamp is valued at 750 LBP.

Ghassan Tueni was a veteran Lebanese journalist, politician and diplomat who headed An Nahar, one of the Arab World's leading newspapers.

He was often referred to as the "Dean of Lebanese Journalism".

Teuni passed away on the 8th of June 2012. He was the father of assassinated MP Gebran Tueni.
