Defense Minister Selim: Military institution will not fail to carry out its tasks

Caretaker Defense Minister Maurice Selim praised on Monday the great national role played by the Lebanese Army, saying that “despite all the difficulties that Lebanon is going through, the military continues to make great sacrifices and martyrdom, in the fight against drug-manufacturing and trafficking gangs.”

Minister Selim was also briefed by Lebanese Armed Forces Commander General Joseph Aoun on the details of the army’s operations in pursuit and arrest of wanted persons.

Selim went on to say that the military institution will not fail to carry out its tasks in the best interests of the country.
