Pope on Beirut Port blast anniversary: Lebanon will see a renaissance
Pope Francis marked on Wednesday the second anniversary of the Beirut Port blast by stressing that Lebanon would continue on the path of “renaissance.”

He went on to say that “tomorrow marks the second anniversary of the Beirut Port blast,” stating that his thoughts go to the families of the victims of this catastrophic event and to the dear Lebanese people.”

“I pray so that each one can be consoled by faith and be confronted by justice and truth which can never be hidden,” Pope stressed.

He then hoped that Lebanon, with the help of the International Community, would see a “renaissance” and remain a land of peace and pluralism, where different communities can live in together in fraternity.
