Fneish: Cabinet did not refuse wage adjustment

State Minister for Administrative Development Mohammad Fneish said that the cabinet did not refuse wage adjustment or the demands of right holders, adding “the cabinet decided to discuss the amount of wage increase through communication and serious studies in order to adjust wages and salaries in both private and public sectors”.

During a political meeting held in the town of Sawaneh, Fneish said that the cabinet will address this issue through dialogue, openness to claims and meetings with the claimants. “I think that dialogue would be the best option for everyone here”.

Fneish said that some are still betting on altering the Lebanese internal equation; they are lurking the resistance project and betting on the regime’s downfall in Syria. “Those people have no more impact on the local scene”, he said.
