MP Samir el Jisr: STL funding will not lead to the cabinet’s collapse

MP Samir el Jisr said Monday that “Lebanon suffers from inflation and the wages are no longer sufficient,” calling on the concerned parties to learn a lesson from the events surrounding us.

El Jisr confirmed in a statement on Voice of Lebanon radio that “the STL does not contravene the constitution”, adding that “there are two different opinions in the Cabinet; we have to wait to see which decision shall take effect.”

“The issue of the STL funding will not lead to the collapse of the cabinet. National Struggle Front Leader MP Walid Jumblatt endorses the funding of the Tribunal and is totally aware of the repercussions that an evasion in this regard might entail,” he added.
