MP Hankash to LBCI: Some sides are hindering presidential election process

MP Elias Hankash called on Monday for the election of a new president, adding that there is a side that is hindering the election process.

 

Hankash’s comments were made during an interview with Nharkom Said TV show whereby he noted that there is no contact with Hezbollah, adding however, that contact is ongoing with other sides and with all opposition blocs.

 

He also noted that the next president must bring up the contentious issues and deal with them head-on in order to get Lebanon back to its diplomatic position.
“Our disagreement with the Free Patriotic Movement is mainly in the cover that it provided to Hezbollah,” he added.
