Raef Reda calls for preventive measures in Lebanon with the return of COVID-19 to China

The Head of Medical Social Gathering, Professor Raef Reda, considered that the COVID-19 situation in China is very frightening, and there is a crisis as hospitals are full of infected people, adding that the official numbers are not transparent since the country has returned to daily cremation and has not responded to the calls of the World Health Organization for cooperation.

He said in a statement that the situation is difficult with the frightening outbreak of COVID-19 in China, which has increased the percentage of mental illness by 40 percent, and that the infections in Italy for those coming from China drew about 60 percent.

"Therefore, countries began to conduct a PCR examination for those coming from China, and it is feared that a new mutation of COVID-19 will occur due to its rapid spread, and perhaps European countries will start again to return to strict prevention measures and mandatory masks."

He advised the Ministry of Health to conduct a PCR test for those coming from China and Europe, in addition to tightening preventive measures and imposing mask orders in crowded places since the international situation is not reassuring.

He concluded that prevention remains vital in this area, and "we fear that biological warfare experiments have made their way as a result of the return of the pandemic to China, from which it spread internationally."
