REPORT: Lebanese citizens vent off the storm through social media platforms

After being stuck in the traffic for over 2 hours, the Lebanese were only left with their Facebook and Twitter accounts to express their anger.           

On Facebook, comments were numerous and various pictures were posted saying that in Lebanon "we no longer need police; instead, we need lifeguards," in reference to the torrential rains that flooded the streets.                   

On Twitter, comments were divided between criticisms and complaints.                       

One of the tweeters mockingly said, “ships are organizing trips every 3 hours from Hamra to Hay el-Sellom,” and another person said that "despite these floods, we still need to buy water."           

Some expressed gratitude to the civil defense teams, saluting them for their efforts in light of this bad weather.                   

These were the comments of the Lebanese citizens regarding the storm.                     

As for the Internal Security Forces, they announced that they remain on high alert, ready to brace off what this storm may throw their way.
