REPORT: After escaping death in Syria, Lebanon gets the best of him

The 35-year-old Syrian national Mohammad Malsi may have escaped death in Syria; fleeing from the al-Yarmouk camp in Damascus, and coming into Lebanon. However not for long.

Malsi came to Lebanon almost two months ago with his 4 daughters and his wife and resided in the Ain el-Helwe Palestinian Refugee camp.

Unable to secure a living for his family, Mohammad Malsi soon felt helpless and in despair, eventually hanging himself on Tuesday evening.

After learning of her husband's suicide,his wife had a nervous breakdown especially since her husband had been seeking any sort of work to ensure a better living for his family.

Mohammad Malsi, who lived in the al-Yamrouk refugee camp, is originally from Idlib, North-West Syria and used to work in a textile factory.
