British embassy warns its citizens against travelling to Lebanon

The British embassy warned its citizens against traveling along the eastern border with Syria following the repeated incursions of Syrian forces into these regions; advising them to avoid going into southern regions as well.

The embassies of the U.S., Australia, Britain, Canada and France previously issued travel advisories to their citizens regarding the dangers of abduction in Lebanon, after the abduction of the 7 Estonians in the Bekaa shortly after their arrival in country.
