Karami:Ammunition distributed for celebratory gunfire during Hariri’s interview tonight

In a statement voiced on Thursday, Youth and Sports Minister Faisal Karami described the security situation in Tripoli as “shaky”, adding that sources have confirmed the distribution of weapons and munitions throughout the city to be used during tonight’s Kalam Ennas episode with former PM Saad Hariri on LBCI.

In response, the Future Movement stressed that it is absolutely not concerned by the information stated by Minister Karami neither in Tripoli nor in the rest of the Lebanese regions.
“The instructions given to the Movement and its partisans in Tripoli and all Lebanese regions stipulate making sure that no shooting takes place on this occasion or any other occasion,” the Movement said adding that the Future partisans across Lebanon are compelled to respect laws and cooperate with concerned security apparatuses to report any violation.

Separately, Karami met House Speaker Nabih Berri in Ain el-Tinneh with talks featuring high on the electoral law proposals and the latest developments.
