An official holiday on February 9th to mark St. Maroun's day

PM Najib Mikati announced that the 9th of February 2013 will be an official holiday whereby all public institutions, including municipalities will close their doors.

The date marks St. Maroun's day, a revered Syriac Christian monk, who lived during the 5th century and who was followed by a religious Christian movement that became known as the Maronites.
