Sleiman calls on wealthy countries to look after poor countries

Lebanese President Michel Sleiman called on wealthy countries to look after poor countries whose people suffer from malnutrition.

On the eve of World Food Day, Sleiman stressed the importance of putting the plans of the World Organization for Agriculture into force. “At the beginning of the twenty first century, it is unacceptable that some countries still suffer from hunger”, he said.

Also, Sleiman met with Sudan's Presidential Assistant Nafi Ali Nafi who informed the president of the latest developments in the relationship with the state of South Sudan. They also touched on the bilateral relations between Lebanon and Sudan.
