Sakr receives Samaha's file for assessment

Government commissioner to the Military Court Judge Sakr Sakr received from the first Military Investigation Judge Riad Abou Ghaida the investigation file of former minister Michel Samaha over the case of transporting explosions in his car from Syria to Lebanon.

Sakr will be studying the file as a prelude to stating his assessment prior to referring it to Judge Abu Ghaida who in turn will issue his verdict and refer the case to the Permanent Military Tribunal for the start of the trials.

Samaha was arrested on Thursday 9th of August by the Internal Security Forces’ Information Branch on suspicion of involvement in a plot to carry out terrorist attacks in Lebanon in collaboration with Syria.
