Judge Madi requests a copy of Frangieh’s interview

Lebanon's General Prosecutor Judge Hatem Madi tasked on Thursday the Criminal Investigation Department to refer to him a copy of Marada Chief Sleiman Frangieh’s interview with a local TV station.

Madi’s request is related to Frangieh’s statements regarding an issue that involves President Michel Sleiman.

Earlier on Wednesday, President Sleiman’s media office issued a statement urging MP Frangieh to deliver all transcripts to the Lebanese judiciary.

The statement called on the judiciary to take the necessary measures according to the articles 60 and 80 of the Lebanese Constitution.
