Minister Safadi denies intention to increase VAT

Finance Minister Mohammad Safadi denied on Monday talks suggesting that there would be an increase in the VAT from 10% to 12% in 2013.

Minister Safadi said in a statement that the matter which remains under discussion is only related to the modification of some procedures pertaining to the tax administration and added that talks are not related to increasing the VAT percentage.
