Kheireddine to LBCI: Ensuring funding sources for the pay scale is essential

State Minister Marwan Kheireddine said on Monday that the funding sources of the series of ranks and salaries had been ensured pointing out that the cabinet is still waiting for the report of the Supreme Council of Civil Planning in regards to increasing investments on properties.

Kheireddine told LBCI during Nharkom Said that there are some remarks pertaining to the performance of the public sector which is accused of insufficient production saying that there are more than 200 thousand unproductive employees excluding the sectors of the LAF, security forces, and the central bank.

Kheireddine added that the request of the economic bodies was to keep the taxes as they are and mentioned that the cabinet responded to their demand.

"The pay scale will not be ratified before ensuring all funding sources in order not to increase the deficit of markets and not to risk the national economy," Kheireddine said.
