Walid Joumblatt: We seem to have entered into an open war

Former Progressive Socialist Party leader Walid Joumblatt sees, "After the repeated attacks on Lebanon by Israel, it seems that we have entered into a long open war that may last for months or more."

He added via his account on X: "So, I advise, as an observer, the necessity of containing the conflict, if possible, in resolving the lingering border issues and adhering to Resolution 1701 and the truce agreement to avoid any slipping into the unknown."
