Mikati stresses on maintaining positive relations with Arab States

Lebanese Prime Minister Najib Mikati stressed his keenness on maintaining positive relations with Arab States, noting that the Lebanese government will not interfere in their affairs. He pointed out that any political statements represent the opinion of each politician, not the government’s official stance.

Following his meeting with the a delegation from the Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC), Mikati stated that the relations between Lebanon and the Arab States should not be affected by politicians’ positions, stressing that the majority of the Lebanese people appreciate the role of Arab leaders in protecting the Lebanese nationals living and working in the Gulf.
