Mikati: Ceasefire in Gaza Will Launch De-Escalation Talks in Lebanon

Caretaker Prime Minister Najib Mikati said on Thursday that the ceasefire expected to begin in the Gaza Strip next week would lead to indirect talks to end the fighting along the southern border of Lebanon.

Mikati said in an interview with Reuters that he is confident that Hezbollah will cease fire if Israel does the same.

Mikati also pointed out that the US envoy, Amos Hochstein, will visit Lebanon soon.
