Hajjar to LBCI: Cabinet lacks harmony
Future Movement bloc MP Mohammad Hajjar told Nharkom Said TV show that the Mikati cabinet is a de-facto government.

“The current government is the fruit of regional circumstances that pushed Hezbollah to stage a coup”, Hajjar said.

Hajjar stressed that the cabinet lacks harmony, adding that several issues, such as the electricity plan and the offshore resources law, are conflict-ridden. “It is clear that Hezbollah has the final say in every decision made”, Hajjar said.

Hajjar added that the electricity plan adopted by the current government was issued during PM Saad Hariri’s tenure, “except that, back then, Energy Minister Jibran Bassil wanted to alter the clause regarding earmarking funds for the plan without resorting to [Arab] funds.”

Hajjar said that Bassil’s problem lies in the fact that he wants a say in every matter.
