Mikati warns of engaging Lebanon in foreign situations

PM Najib Mikati asked media outlets on Friday to deal with the current Lebanese situation and the situations of neighboring countries with objectivity and responsibility.

Following a meeting with members of the Audiovisual Media Council, Mikati stressed that some attempts of engaging Lebanon in foreign issues were initiated by media.

In this context, Mikati called on media outlets to be aware of engaging Lebanon in a situation from which the country has been able to stay away so far.

On another note, Head of the EU Delegation, Ambassador Angelina Eichhorst met with PM Najib Mikati and hoped that the elections would be held on their constitutional due date according to international standards.
