"Together campaign" to change the political system

"Together" campaign staged on Saturday a protest in the Martyrs' Square, under the slogan: "I am not a number, together we can refuse", calling for a radical change in the political system.

The protestors carried wood boxes stating: "civil peace for sale, government, Parliament, justice, electricity, oil, job opportunities and middle class for sale."

The activists considered that the normal way to achieve the required change in the political system lies in issuing an electoral parliamentary law not tied to sectarianism, stressing that Lebanon should be a single electoral district.

The protestors considered that reducing the legal age for candidates and voters helps in renewing the political figures in Lebanon.
