Future Bloc condemns Lebanon FM's statements

Following its weekly meeting the Future bloc called on the government to resolve the ranks and salaried issue in a manner that would safeguard the economy.

In a press conference held on Tuesday, the bloc hailed the army's measures adopted in the southern Lebanese city of Sidon, urging residents to cooperate with concerned authorities to null provocations that would further lead the city toward danger.

"We are committed to coexistence and we urge the government to arrest wanted suspects who remain at large," the bloc stressed.

On the upcoming parliamentary elections, the Future bloc stated that a neutral government is necessary to oversee the vote, reiterating its refusal of any delay in this regard.               "We are open to discussing any electoral law that offers fair representation."

Separately the bloc reiterated its call for the deportation of the Syrian Ambassador to Lebanon and the sacking of FM Adnan Mansour "because of his shameful actions against Lebanon and its citizens seemingly since he considered that the Assad regime troops retaliated to actions committed by the Lebanese army."

In its concluding remarks the bloc condemned the statements voiced by Iraqi PM Maliki, who considered that the fall of the Syrian regime will lead to civil war in Lebanon.
