Gemayel: Lebanon suffers from “power vacuum”

Kataeb Leader Amine Gemayel said Friday that Lebanon suffers mainly from “power vacuum”, adding that “the state is incapable of taking decisions on major issues such as the STL and living conditions.”

Following his meeting with Metropolitan bishop of the Greek Orthodox Church for the Archdiocese Elias Audi, Gemayel voiced hope that Lebanon will overcome its internal ordeal, highlighting the importance of understanding between the Lebanese and upholding national unity in order to fortify the internal scene. “Fortifying the internal scene will prevent Lebanon from paying the price of Arab conflicts and other countries’ revolutions,” he elaborated.

In his concluding remarks, Gemayel said that Lebanon is going astray, adding that local events are taking their toll on the country.
