Second Russian airplane to arrive to Lebanon to help displaced Syrians

The High Relief Commission announced on Wednesday that a second Russian airplane will arrive to the Beirut International Airport in a bid to provide the displaced Syrians in Lebanon with humanitarian aid.

In the details, the airplane will be loaded with 36 tons of aid, including food, blankets, and other kinds of relief to help the Syrian refugees.

It is worth noting that a Russian plane had arrived to Lebanon on April 3 for the same reason.

The U.N. estimates more than 1.1 million Syrians have fled, mainly to Jordan, Lebanon and Turkey, noting that over four million others have been displaced inside their war-torn country.

Lebanon has sheltered around 360,000 refugees fleeing the brutal crisis and violence in their country, according to the U.N.'s refugee agency.
