President Sleiman calls for sparing Lebanon potential repercussions

President Michel Sleiman called on April 13 which coincides with the anniversary of the 1975 Lebanese Civil War, for drawing lessons and prioritizing the national interest, stressing the need to cooperate and sacrifice in order to spare Lebanon the repercussions of incidents taking place in the neighboring countries.

In this regard, Sleiman met with Austrian Foreign Minister Michael Spindelegger and Italian Minister for International Cooperation and Integration Andrea Riccardi who vowed to help Lebanon in regards to the file of displaced Syrians.

On another note, Caretaker Foreign Minister Adnan Mansour briefed Sleiman on a number of issues pertaining to Lebanon's foreign relations.
