MP Ziad Hawat: We wanted a democratic battle and a return to the constitution

MP Ziad Hawat said Sunday that the municipal elections represent a vital democratic moment, stressing the importance of constitutional principles and local governance.

“We wanted this to be a democratic battle and a step toward applying the constitution,” Hawat said. “The municipality has a fundamental and very important role to play in the next phase.”
