The Lebanese army tried to deter Israeli strikes but was refused, military sources say

Military sources told LBCI that the Lebanese army attempted to prevent Israeli strikes by contacting the coordination mechanism to inspect the threatened locations. 

However, the Israeli army refused the request. Following this, the Lebanese army withdrew from the sites that were later targeted by airstrikes.
