UNHCR: Number of Syrian refugees in Lebanon is nearly half a million

The number of the Syrian refugees in Lebanon registered with the UN High Commissioner for Refugees (UNHCR) exceeded 428,000 refugees, according to a report issued by the organization on Friday.

The UNHCR announced in its weekly report that the registered Syrian refugees are distributed across the Lebanese territories as follows:

North Lebanon: 128,000 refugees

Bekaa: 111,000 refugees

Beirut and Mount Lebanon: 38,000 refugees

South Lebanon: 24,000 refugees
