Lebanese Army sends helicopters to assist in extinguishing Syria wildfires

The Lebanese Army announced that two helicopters belonging to its Air Force were dispatched Monday morning from Qlayaat Airport in Akkar to assist in extinguishing wildfires in Syria's Latakia countryside.

The mission comes as part of an initiative by the Lebanese authorities and is being carried out in coordination with both the Lebanese Army Command and Syrian officials.
