Mikati: Dissociation policy spares Lebanon potential repercussions

Caretaker Prime Minister Najib Mikati stressed on Wednesday that “the outstanding issues in Lebanon can only be settled should the Lebanese parties work solely for Lebanon’s interest”, adding that “each party wants to steer the country toward its own direction but the solution lies in reaching a common ground".

In this context, Mikati highlighted the need to fully implement the policy of dissociation that was set forth on the onset of the Syrian crisis."The time has come for the Lebanese people to take their own stances, regardless of the incidents taking place outside Lebanon”.
