EU condemns Israeli strike in South Lebanon, urges respect for ceasefire

The European Union delegation in Lebanon issued a statement condemning the Israeli military strike on Sunday that killed several civilians, including children, in South Lebanon.

The EU reiterated its call for full respect and implementation of the ceasefire agreement between Lebanon and Israel, emphasizing that security concerns should be addressed through the established monitoring mechanism under the ceasefire framework.

The statement also urged all parties to support the Lebanese government’s decisive efforts to ensure that weapons remain under state control.
