Hezbollah leader Sayyed Hassan Nasrallah appeared on Thursday in a televised address on the 25th anniversary of the establishment of the Hezbollah run al-Nour radio station.
Sayyed Nasrallah hailed the role of media outlets in "informing people without fabricating news serving the interests of the Israeli enemy."
He said that al-Nour radio station played a major role during the periods of resistance, liberation and the July war, urging its employees to prepare themselves for the "the post-July war era."
The Hezbollah chief criticized the "lack of credibility" in news outlets tackling security, politics and economics especially in the past few years, "due to the recent means of development in the field of communications".
He added that Hezbollah's media sources are committed to credibility and honesty.
On Palestine, Sayyed Nasrallah said that the cause resides in the Holy land, the identity, the people, the Muslim and Christian holy shrines and the detainees in Israeli prisons.
He asserted that the latest developments in the region serve the interest of the Israeli enemy, adding that the Arab Spring made Arabs offer more compromises to Israel.
Hezbollah's Chief said that the U.S. is claiming an official acknowledgement of the Jewish nature of Israel which imposes "dangerous cultural, humanitarian, economic, security and demographic threats" to the region.
On Syria, Sayyed Nasrallah said that Damascus is witnessing a "fierce war", stressing the necessity of acknowledging the magnitude of the Israeli bombardment of the Syrian city.
He added that Israel has certain goals behind the bombardment of Damascus, highlighting Syria's role in supporting the Resistance movements, especially in Palestine.
"Syria will supply the resistance with 'game-changing weapons'," he asserted.
Nasrallah's speech comes less than a week after Israeli officials said Israeli
aircraft twice struck shipments of advanced weapons believed to be bound
for Hezbollah in Lebanon.
On the Lebanese front, he added that the current situation imposes the formation of a government of a "true national partnership."
He
reiterated that Hezbollah will vote in favor of the Orthodox gathering
draft law "because it already gave its word in this case."
As
for the
Lebanese hostages in Syria's Aazaz, he said that Hezbollah
assumed its duties in this regard, adding that the government must
finalize this issue.
