Pope Leo XIV calls for "cedar-like love" during visit to Harissa

Pope Leo XIV emphasized the need for deep and enduring love in the world, comparing it to the steadfastness of Lebanon's cedar trees.

Speaking at the Shrine of Our Lady of Lebanon in Harissa during a meeting with bishops, priests, and religious men and women, the pope said the Lebanese Church—united in its diverse expressions—serves as an icon of the Gospel message, "Blessed are the peacemakers."
