Special Investigation Commission receives names related to the Al-Madina Bank scandal

The Special Investigation Commission (SIC) at the Banque du Liban received on Monday from the General Prosecutor Judge Hatem Madi a preliminary list of 135 names related to the Al-Madina Bank file.

The al-Madina bank collapse took place in 2003, with the loss of an amount of 1.65 billion dollars.

Accordingly, a list of suspects issued encompassed more than 90 names of a political, security, military, financial and even legal nature.

The bank's scandal included several files related to corruption, fraud and money laundering.
