MP Jarrah to LBCI: LF leader was clearly seeking a hybrid draft law

Future bloc MP Jamal al-Jarrah said on Thursday that the meeting held yesterday (Wednesday) in the Parliament falls in the interest of Lebanon, adding that Bkerke is following up on the situation.

In an interview with LBCI's Nharkom Said TV Show, MP Jarrah pointed out that Lebanese Forces leader Samir Geagea suggested the Orthodox Gathering draft law but said that this law provides 64 Christian deputies and threatens, at the same time, the country's national unity.

In this context, MP Jarrah quoted Geagea as saying that the 1960 draft law is "rejected" and that "there is no national consensus over the Orthodox Gathering draft law".

MP Jarrah added that the "LF leader was clearly seeking a hybrid draft law", noting that "Geagea is a politician who issues the clearer stances in Lebanon".
