Plumbly meets Salam, calls for the formation of the new government

U.N. Special Coordinator for Lebanon Derek Plumbly met on Friday with Prime Minister-Designate Tammam Salam in Msaybteh.

Following the meeting, Plumbly urged "the swift formation of the new government", calling on all parties to cooperate with PM-Designate Salam in his efforts.

As well, PM-Designate Salam held a meeting with the European Union Mission Head in Lebanon, Ambassador Angelina Ekhorest who stressed that “Lebanon should have a government able to take decisions and manages the country’s internal affairs in the face of challenges”.

It is worth noting that Salam also met with former ministers Salim Wardeh and Tony Karam, dispatched by the Lebanese Forces leader Samir Geagea.
