Minister Charbel to LBCI: Ministry of Interior ready to receive nominations for upcoming elections

Caretaker Minister of Interior Marwan Charbel asserted on Saturday that the Ministry of Interior is ready to receive nominations of candidates running for the upcoming parliamentary elections based on the 1960 electoral law.

Caretaker Minister Charbel's remarks came during a phone call with LBCI's Nharkom Said TV Show, noting that he is "not convinced" in the 1960 law and said "obliged" to implement any electoral law adopted by parliament.

He also urged Lebanese leaders to amend the 1960 law in regard to immigrant voters.
