PM Salam: Israeli strikes hit densely populated areas, calls on allies to help end attacks

Lebanon’s Prime Minister Nawaf Salam said that while Lebanon has welcomed the agreement between Iran and the United States and intensified efforts to reach a ceasefire, Israel continues to expand its attacks across the country.

Salam said the strikes have hit densely populated residential neighborhoods, killing unarmed civilians in several areas, particularly in Beirut, despite ongoing regional and international efforts to end the war.

He added that Israel is disregarding the principles of international law and international humanitarian law.

Salam called on Lebanon’s international partners and allies to help stop the attacks by all available means.
