Civil Defense and Lebanese Army organize return of southern residents as leaflets warn of landmine risks

Residents are continuing to return to towns across southern Lebanon, particularly south of the Litani River, where extensive damage to homes and property has left entire areas in ruins. The flow of families heading back has not stopped.

Emergency responders and the Lebanese army are working to manage traffic and clear roads blocked by debris, while also warning residents of the danger posed by landmines and unexploded cluster munitions. In Majdal Selm, a landmine explosion killed a woman and her child as she was checking on her home.

In Tyre, the aftermath of a deadly Israeli strike continues to weigh heavily, after an attack carried out just minutes before the ceasefire took effect late Friday night.
