Central Bank governor moves to reinforce mothers’ right to open bank accounts for minor children

In a move aimed at strengthening mothers’ financial rights in Lebanon, Central Bank Governor Karim Souaid issued a notice to all banks requesting the implementation of Circular No. 305/2009 issued by the Association of Banks, which grants married women the right to open bank accounts for their minor children.
