Israeli Channel 12: US urged Israel not to strike Beirut buildings

Israeli Channel 12 reported that U.S. officials told Israel not to carry out attacks in Beirut and not to demolish buildings in the capital.

However, a senior Israeli official said there is approval for targeted killings in Beirut if an operational opportunity arises, according to the report.
