Netanyahu says Israeli army deploying large ground forces in southern Lebanon

Benjamin Netanyahu said Tuesday that the Israeli army is deploying “large ground forces” in southern Lebanon and taking control of “strategic areas.”

His remarks come after the military expanded its ground operations in southern Lebanon beyond the Yellow Line, a demarcation Israel established several kilometers inside Lebanese territory following a ceasefire agreement with Hezbollah on April 16.
