Did you know that more than half of the products used around each home on a monthly basis is the product of pure suffering?
Our cosmetic products alongside a wide range of detergents, home improvement items, baby diapers etc... which we use so frequently and sometimes daily come straight from the factories of death which have been testing these products on animals for decades.

Rabbits, cats , monkeys, rats are mutilated each day, force fed and killed for our own comfort. Although companies can still create innovative new products without animal cruelty, they still choose to!

Which tests are carried out on animals :

skin and eye irritation tests where chemicals are rubbed onto the shaved skin or dripped into the eyes of restrained rabbits without any pain relief
repeated force-feeding studies lasting weeks or months to look for signs of general illness or specific health hazards such as cancer or birth defects; and
widely condemned "lethal dose" tests, in which animals are forced to swallow large amounts of a test chemical to determine the dose that causes death.

At the end of a test the animals are killed, normally by asphyxiation, neck-breaking, or decapitation. Pain relief is NOT provided

In 2012, one of the most shocking initiatives took place when artist Jacqueline Traide subjected herself to animal testing and abuse in public! Everyone on the street was shocked and horrified as Traide, 24, was restrained, force-fed while having her mouth clamped open and given injections at Lush's store in London. Yes this is what we are doing to animals and Jacqueline felt every bit of it!

Even though the public has long been demanding to stop these unnecessary acts of cruelty since every single company is capable of innovation using the previously known factors and studies, the only breakthrough is the Animal Testing Ban by the European Union ! The EU strictly banned the sake of cosmetics and personal-care products that were tested on animals (or contain ingredients that were).

Peta, alongside countless world organisations have been working relentlessly to put an end to such acts. Thousands of animals are unaccounted for and treated brutally before they are killed, even-though the public opinion has been raging about it. At this point, and since most countries have not yet banned these practices, the only way to fight for the rights of these animals is to raise as much awareness as possible!
