Women Defy Beauty Standards, Take Off Make-Up During Music Video

This woman got so tired of beauty standards that she decided to write a song about it.

Meet Grammy Award-winning singer-songwriter Colbie Caillat. Her new song “Try” is a powerful statement against modern day beauty standards.

By the end of the video, Caillat and several other women are stripped back to their natural form.

This isn’t the first time women in the field of entertainment take a stand against digital retouching.

Here’s French-Hungarian singer, Boggie who like Caillat protested against beauty standards yet in the exact opposite way, by getting herself digitally retouched in her music video.

“This is how women empower other women,” said one Facebook user who shared Caillat’s video, and well, we have to agree with her.
