[VIDEO] Moon Seen Crossing Earth From 1 Million Miles Away!

NASA has captured amazing images of the moon as it crosses Earth from 1 million miles away!

The pictures, taken by NASA's Deep Space Climate Observatory (DSCOVR), feature the moon’s position between the Earth and Sun. An animation released recently shows images of the far side — which is normally hidden from human eyes — while the moon passes in front of our planet.

"It is surprising how much brighter Earth is than the moon," said Adam Szabo, a DSCOVR project scientist, adding: "Our planet is a truly brilliant object in dark space compared to the lunar surface."
