A California dog received new prosthetic legs and is learning to run for the first time in her life as shown in a video posted online.
Daisy Underbite was born with abnormalities that made walking difficult, was found abandoned around five years ago in Los Angeles when she was about 2 months old. She was taken to a local shelter, where she caught the attention of the A Home Forever rescue group.
The rescue group determined the cause of Daisy's mobility problems was congenital deformation of her elbows, right shoulder and back hips.
Christian and Sheena Main, who were seeking to adopt a special-needs dog found Daisy and decided to help her.
The family set up a donation page to help purchase prosthetic limbs for Daisy, and the response was so overwhelming that they had to return some of the donations.
